2006 was a good year for the Cattlemen's Association and to show our support for the local FFA and 4H clubs, we made donations of  $1500 to each organization.   FFA leader Nikki Webb said the organization will use the funds to send less fortunate students to the State and Nationals as well as providing scholarship funds to students. Well done Nikki!

In 1996, the Harris County Agri-Center accepted the challenge of continuing the Chattahoochee Valley Fair, which had recently dissolved.  The Fair was moved to the Harris County Agri-Center located in Hamilton, Georgia on Highway 116.  Reorganized with a 501(C) 3 status, the Board of Directors has been pursuing an ambitious program of activity designed to financially strengthen the Fair and provide educational opportunities for participants as well as patrons.

Today, the Valley Ag Fair & Exposition continues to provide an excellent venue for youth from thirty-two counties in Georgia and Alabama to demonstrate their talents and experience competition while providing a unique educational experience in a clean, safe, outdoor environment.

On Feb. 28, 2006, President David Burke presented a $500 check to Adrienne Cox of the Harris County 4H for youth scholarships at Rock Eagle Camp. The gift from the Cattlemen's Association is one way to show our commitment in preserving our agricultural lifestyle.
Please join us in ensuring the perpetuation of this worthy event for years to come. 

We need your help and participation.  There will be more than $5,000 in premiums for area youth and activities. The Valley Agricultural Fair features county awards, arts, baked goods, canning, handicrafts and needlework.  Every effort is being made to secure the best agricultural and educational exhibits in the Valley area.
